Was supposed to post this yesterday but the Internet went bonkers.
The following account was of yesterday.

Woke up at 5am this morning to climb some unknown mountain to have a scenic view of the 云海, or the Sea of Clouds here at Sun Moon Lake. We were supposed to catch the sunrise but t was not really that fantastic. The owner of our villa kindly drove us in his car to the base of the mountain.

At 6am in the morning, the clouds were really floating around the lake and the villa in the middle makes the place all the more mysterious. After climbing for awhile, we finally reached the peak.

The sun was especially glaring at the mountain peak, yet not scorching.

After descending the mountain, we proceeded to view the lake in its full morning glory(No pun intended).

We headed over to our villa for some breakfast of toast, eggs and ham.

Legend has it that Sun Moon Lake symbolises two dragons fighting over a pearl in the middle of the lake. The island below represents that "pearl".
We stopped over at a dessert store for a rest.

After returning from our morning fatigue trip, parents went to the hot spring while brother and I remained in the villa room. I must admit that the personalised service provided here exceeds all our expectations.

DISCLAIMER:
This is not an advertorial, but I highly recommend this mode of accommodation if you happen to visit Sun Moon Lake due to its homely atmosphere and high level of concern shown by the host.
